Our full accountability based program advances the goals of stopping violent behavior, taking full responsibility for that behavior, and changing the beliefs and attitudes that have supported it. We accomplish those goals in a group atmosphere of respect and confidentiality while fully participating in a community coordinated response with victims’ services, law enforcement, and the judicial system.
Healthy Decisions staff and program content meet the requirements for domestic violence perpetrator treatment services under Washington law.
In addition to providing group treatment for perpetrators, we are also able to offer assessment services such as DVI (Domestic Violence Inventory) to social service agencies, attorneys, and courts.
Because recent studies show that remaining in and completing treatment is critical to a reduction in recidivism rates we will offer real time, interactive audio/video groups for those participants who cannot attend a physical group. We believe this is a boon to participants who must be away from the physical group area for work, who are on home detention, or who have difficulty attending a physical group for reasons of long distance or economic concerns. All that is needed is a broadband internet connection, webcam, microphone, and speakers. Logging on to the group site is secure and simple. No specialized software is needed - just a web browser. We also offer after-care to help clients avoid future abusive behavior.
